If you need to place a forward on your kindergarten.vic.gov.au address, our helpdesk can assist you or you can set up the forward yourself in webmail.

How to place a support request to set up a forward

Email forward requests to support@kindergarten.vic.gov.au, state the full address of the mailbox to be updated and the full address of the forward destination. We may contact the service to confirm the request and once notified that the forward is set up, you should test and confirm the forward works as you expect.

How to set up a forward yourself in webmail

Click on the settings cog icon.

Click on Toolbox, then click on Forward addresses.

Enter the destination address for the forward and double check for typos.

Click Add forward address.

You can add or remove multiple destinations.

Remember to click the blue Save at the bottom of the panel when you are done.

Test the forward by sending an email to the address and confirm that the test is successfully forwarded to the destination(s).

When you wish to remove the forward return to the Manage forward addresses section to remove (delete) the forward.

Forwarding from an unattended mailbox

By default, forwarded mail still adds to the quota limit. If you do not intend to regularly check and manage the original webmail inbox, it will eventually fill up and mail will ‘bounce’ and no longer be forwarded.

If you unselect Keep copies of original messages, the account will not fill with unattended mail.

This can be useful for holiday periods, however if the forward is both permanent and with no intention to manage the account directly, contact our support to discuss the option to make use of an alias address.
