The NBN
Welcome to the Kindergarten IT Program NBN information hub. We’re here to help make your transition to the NBN as smooth as possible.
You’ll find all the information you need about getting your kindergarten connected to the NBN, including:
- how to find out if you’re ready to connect to the NBN
- how to organise your phone and internet
- what each type of NBN means
About our NBN service
If you’re a member of the Kindergarten IT Program, when the NBN is available in your area we can provide a ‘data only’ NBN service to your community kindergarten. This is similar to our ADSL service, where we provide the internet connection and you maintain the telephone/voice services. The program covers the monthly cost of the NBN data service. Phone services are not included, as they are managed by each individual kindergarten.
What’s included in our NBN service:
Download speeds: Up to 50 Mbps
Upload speeds: Up to 20 Mbps
Data allowance: Unlimited
Modem: KITP supplied NBN compatible modem
Monthly cost to your kindergarten: $0
Is my kindergarten ready to connect to the NBN?
To find out if you can connect to the NBN, the type of NBN service you’ll receive and when the NBN will be available in your area, look up your location on the NBN Co website.
NBN service types
NBN Co is assessing the network technology available in your area to deliver a fast solution tailored to your location. This means that the NBN will be delivered in different ways in different locations.
